Erdenechimeg "Chimgee" Haltarhuu was born in Mongolia. As a girl she learned gymnastics and was talented enough to beat out over 500 other children for a place in the prestigious Mongolian Circus School. In this four year college she graduated with the highest possible honors proficient in all circus skills. Chimgee then joined the Mongolian State Circus, where she traveled all over Mongolia as well as internationally. In 1991 she was brought to America with Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey circus, where she performed adagio, acrobatics and bungee trapeze. After five years on Ringling, Chimgee performed foot juggling, hand balancing, and hula hoops with Yankee Doodle Circus and coached and performed for Circus Smirkus in Vermont. In 2002 Chimgee moved to MN and joined Circus Juventas as a coach. Soon after arriving in MN she founded her own show, Circus Manduhai, a family show that performs in the MN and WI area.

Tamir Bayarsaihan

When Tamir was young, he traveled with his mother Chimgee and the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus for five years. During this time, she taught him circus skills like acrobatic handstands and juggling. He performed with Circus Smirkus International Youth Circus in Vermont for 9 summers. In 1997, he performed with his mother in the Yankee Doodle Circus, performing hand balancing, juggling and unicycle. The summer of 2004, Tamir performed at Sea World in San Antonio, Texas. He taught and performed with Circus Juventas in St. Paul, and has now been teaching and performing with Xelias Aerial Arts Studio in Minneapolis since 2006.

With Xelias, Tamir has performed at Mall of America, Southern Theater, Nicollet Island Pavillion, Gustavas Adolphus College, Fairbault Chamber of Commerce, Paramount Art Theater, Walker Art Center, St. Cloud State University, and North Heights Church.

He has been accepted into University of St. Catherine Physical Therapy School, and will graduate from University of Minnesota in the spring of 2010 with a degree in Kenesiology.


Sodoo Ganbaatar

Originally from Mongolia, Sodoo graduated from Mongolian State Circus School in Ulaan Baatar in 1998 with proficiency in acrobatic gymnastics. He performed with the Mongolian State Circus in Mongolia and South Africa performing the flying trapeze, cigar box juggling and hand balancing.


Mostapha Hassouni

Mostapha is originally from Morocco, where he learned acrobatics. He performed throughout Europe for several years and then came to America with Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus. After performing for ten years at Excaliber Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada Mostapha moved to Minnesota. He and his son Anwar have a duo act that has performed all over the Twin Cities, some highlights including Excel Energy Center, The Children's Theater Company, and for KARE 11 news. Mostapha is a coach at Circus Juventas teaching acrobatics, low casting, globe, mini-tramp, and hand balancing.


Anwar Hassouni

The ten year old son of Mostapha, Anwar is a fourth grader at Expo School in St. Paul, MN. He began his circus training at age 3 with his father. Anwar performs in a duo act with his father, a solo hand balancing act, and a solo rolla-bolla act in Circus Manduhai. He is also a star at Circus Juventas where he has performed a chair stacking act, acrobatic tumbling, hand balancing, jump-rope, low casting, unicycle, and mini-tramp.


Delgermaa (Stacy) Otgontugs

Stacy was born in Mongolia and has lived in America for five years. She has been practicing contortion with Chimgee for three years and loves to perform with Circus Manduhai Circus. She is a sixth grader at Westwood Elementary School and lives in Savage, MN.
