Circus Manduhai was founded in 2002 by Erdenechimeg "Chimgee" Haltarhuu as a way for her and her family to share the Mongolian culture, continue displaying their circus skills, and to entertain the Twin Cities area.

By 2005, Circus Manduhai was performing over 50 shows per year in over 15 counties in Minnesota and Wisconsin.  Some highlights were performing for 10 weeks at the old "Camp Snoopy" at Mall of America, our shows at the Edina Art Center, and our yearly performance at the Chinese New Year's Celebration and Reunion (for children adopted from China). 2006 saw Circus Manduhai performing at "The Park at Mall of America" and private engagements at Mystic Lake Casino. In 2007 Circus Manduhai performed at Como Zoo and at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, MN. The 2008 Circus Manduhai performed at Grand Casino with Mannequin in Motion/Osprey Productions. Nickelodeon Universe's "Nick or Treat" event and Dakota County Fair were highlights of the 2009 season.
